• Houston Food Bank – The Houston Food Bank is America’s largest food distribution center and has a network of 600 hunger relief charities and outreach programs in 18 southeast Texas counties. Named top charity in Texas, by Charity Navigator for financial performance and accountability. The Houston Food Bank provides 83 million nutritious meals to food pantries, soup kitchens, senior centers and other agencies, feeding 800,000 people each year.
• Caring House Project – This organization builds self-sustaining villages in Haiti.  They have built 25 villages already and are continuing to build more to help those in need.
• W.H.A.M.– W.H.A.M. is a local Houston Charity that has a huge impact on the Houston Community. In 2020 they helped over 115,000 individuals in need and are set to help many more in 2021. “When families find themselves with nowhere else to turn to, our doors are open to help with their  immediate basic needs and equip them to achieve long-term stability. Their mission: In the name of Christ, we will serve those who come to us for help, regardless of background, belief, or circumstance.”
• This year Mr. Deeds Buys Houses “adopted” teacher is Loretta Moutra, she is a blessing and a shining light. Here is what she said in her Bio to us:

“My name is Loretta Moutra and I am a special education teacher at the amazing Burton Elementary in Fort Bend ISD. I currently support Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade and Life Skills students. My love for passion for education began at a very early age. My mother, grandmother, most of my aunts were all educators. In 1985, my parents opened a private school, The Bearrington School that operated until 2012. After college, I began teaching Kindergarten thru 5th grade. After we closed the school, I became certified in special education. My philosophy is that ALL children are EXCEPTIONAL learners. Every child can learn, it is our job to found out their ‘how’. I truly love working with children. I especially love working with children with special needs or challenging behaviors. Although I am incredibly passionate about my career, my most favorite job is mom. I have two girls ages 14 and 8. My kids are my entire heart and I love them so very much. Between my courageous kids at school my wonderful children at home, I am inspired daily to learn more, love more and spread light into the world.”
